In Journal -Chinese Labat Man:  
In this paper, the effect on the low temperature capacity and charge retention of lead-acid battery with polyaspartic acid instead of sodium lignosulphonate in the negative active materials was reviewed. The results showed that the low temperature capacity of battery was increased slowly as cyclic life increasing though the ifrst capacity was lower, and the stable discharge capacity of lead-acid battery with polyaspartic acid was a little more than that with sodium lignosulphonate. The capacity recovery of battery was better when the polyaspartic acid was added into electrolyte because it could reifne the crystalline structure of lead sulfate.

Polyaspartic acid (PASP) is a kind of biodegradable green biopolymer materials. Its molecules contains abundant amido bond, carboxyl and other active groups. The special molecular structure of PASP ensures that it has good dispersing ability, corrosion inhibiting properties, excellent capabilities of chelation, adsorption, excellent biodegradability and environmental friendly characteristics.
